Captain Reanna S. DeLaCruz
Hello and thank you for choosing Captain Reanna's Baffin Bay Adventures! I'm Capt. Reanna S. DeLaCruz. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas where I grew up playing junior competitive golf and on my free time, my family and I would spend many weekends and summers fishing the fresh waters of Lake Travis and or the bays of Rockport, Texas. I was homeschooled up to my sophomore year of high school which gave me a lot of time to play golf and go fishing and as you can imagine that's where you could always find me. If I wasn't on the golf course, I was on the water fishing. Later, during my sophomore year of high school, I decided I wanted to attend Westlake High school as a transfer to prepare myself for college and most of all, I wanted to compete on the Varsity Weslake Woman's Golf Team. I then attended Westlake High School and was number 3 on the Westlake Woman's Varsity Golf Team from my sophomore year of high school till I graduated in May of 2015. By my Junior year of high school, I had several golf scholarships laid out in front of me to choose from. With much consideration, I accepted a full-ride golf scholarship to Texas A&M University - Kingsville; where began my college education while playing collegiate golf in August of 2015. This was when I was first introduced to the unforgettable waters of Baffin Bay. I then met the love of my life and now husband, Pete Yaklin, a local of Baffin Bay. Pete and I got married in 2021 and we now have one beautiful daughter together. I began my professional fishing career when I met my mentor and friend, Capt. Sally Ann Black. Capt. Sally has been a fishing guide for over 25 years and is the previous owner of Baffin Bay Rod and Gun here in Riviera, Texas. Capt. Sally began her guiding journey in Rockport, Texas many years ago and is now a full time fishing and hunting guide at Baffin Bay Rod and Gun. Capt. Sally has taken me under her wing and has mentored me the whole way through my fishing and hunting career, from fishing to life advice, she is always there for me. During my time with Capt. Sally, I attended Sea Academy located in Aransas Pass where I obtained my captains license. I then purchased Capt. Sally's 2021 Shoalwater 23 Cat for the smoothest ride on Baffin Bay. I am now a full time U.S Coast Guard and Texas Parks and Wildlife licensed fishing and hunting guide. As a mom and wife, I am an advocate for family fishing, teaching and instilling conservational practices amongst our young anglers and helping teach beginner woman and children fishermen how to become better all around anglers. Baffin Bay is a Texas Coastal jewel and its our job to maintain its beauty by practicing catching and releasing when we can, leaving our shorelines better than we found them and practicing proper disposal of trash when on the water. Join me for a truly remarkable experience on Baffin Bay with Captain Reanna’s Baffin Bay Adventures!
Captain Reanna's Baffin Bay Adventures gave me the fishing trip of a lifetime! I had never experienced such a variety of fish, the knowledge of the guides was second to none, and the scenery was breathtaking. I can't wait to go back!
